Why have church?

The purpose for any church should be rooted in the fundamentals of ministry; leading others to God and assimilating these individuals into the church body. Every Pastor should first understand the need to communicate and reach the world in ways that they understand. The goal of GMG is to better assist other ministries in growing a church body and continuing the development of that growth. Below are key areas we focus on to accomplish goals and add to the church daily.

MEET

It is vital that the church become able to embrace the reality of social networking, not only through technology but through personal relationships developed to lead individuals to Christ. The ability of the church to be "in the world" but not "of the world". Not only to be friendly but to become friends. In order to meet new souls we must understand that this cannot be done by waiting around for them to come to us, we must go to them.

IMPRESS

There are many places vying for what little “free time” people have each week, so we have only one opportunity to make lasting impressions. It is not about making individuals feel what they want to feel, but about reaching a real world through real ways and delivering the truth in an impressive manner. Today we live in a fast paced, double epress0, 140 character twitter society. We must pray and study how to best bring new souls in and to also to keep the focus clearly on God as they develop relationships of their own.

ENGAGE

Exuberant praise, real people, relevant Word , anointing worship and meaningful alter experience are the factors that will get people interested. They feel they are beginning to “find” something missing in their life’s journey. Once someone's finds what they are searching for they must still be actively engaged in the growing process of the church. It is this root word that explains developing relationships that will last.

CONNECT

In a continued response we must actively reach to connect with every soul we come in contact with. Our single goal beyond winning someone to the Lord should be to keep them coming back again, and again. Creating new avenues for involvement through small groups, Word study and other activities can greatly increase the connections for those "outside" the initial church experience.

INVOLVING SAINTS. DEVELOPING & TRAINING LEADERS. ESTABLISHING NEW MEMBERS.

Knowing that local church growth comes from the pew as well as the pulpit, the Bowers bring to churches training in:
Fun in Outreach
Ushering & Greeters
Hospitality Room follow-up
Interviewing
Data Input
Attendance
Tracking Revisits
“First Perks” and Re-visitation
Alter working
Home Bible Studies
Gift Unwrapping of Talents
They accomplish this with lessons such as:
“We are Salt” showing how we must cause the world to be thirsty for God
“Consider the Ant” changing the mindset of a church from volunteers to ser-vant ministry
“Finding my Place in Body” help-ing members to find their passion and fit in church involvement
“20/20 Vision” the how's of getting and keeping Home Bible Studies
“4 M’s of a Growing Church” moti-vation, mechanics, momentum and the master
“The acts 2/42 Project” the charac-teristics of an Apostolic church that is growing
And many others….

Developing/Training Leaders
Realizing that Growing churches produce busy Pastors, the Bowers know that “Team” ministry with dependable core helpers is a must and bring to the local assembly lessons, training and role play-ing:
“Consistency in Evangelism” helping to development the character of consistency in lead-ers
“Bridges & Harvest fields” how leaders have to balance their own soulwinning efforts with developing a team of workers
“The Spirit of Tychius” the absolute impor-tance of loyalty and dependability in leaders
“What are You Leading” the importance of working with people and dealing with conflict reso-lution avoiding “solo projects”
“Ophrah and Cooper Anderson” back-ground does matter in future leadership traits but is not the final determination.
“Spirit of the Unicorn..Accountability” the need of all leaders to realize they are only ex-tensions of the Lead Pastor’s vision.
“The Flow of Anointing in Local Lead-ership” helping core leaders to realize the need for submission to authority
As well as other sessions….
The Bowers use, multi media, role play-ing, small group training, object lessons, handouts, power point and whatever comes to their minds to get these valu-able lessons across to core staff, leaders and leaders in training.

Establishing New Members
Growth is ultimately measured not only in how many come in the doors to re-ceive but also by how many go out to minister. All new Believers want to feel 3 factors to remain at any assembly:
Wanted-people are looking for somewhere to connect and feel loved, to be a part of.
Needed-people want to feel they bring some-thing to the table and have something to offer as well as receive
Belong-to something larger than themselves. Being a part of something that is a success
The 7 steps of Assimilation is the format the Bowers have created over 3 decades of experiences to implement in churches or to modify to existing local church Outreach efforts.
New Believer Care Tracking by those who commit to “parenting” them and keeping records of growth
New Believer Discipleship in Believer’s handbook, Membership 101 classes and small group sessions of Lifestyle needs
New Believer Involvement of gift unwrap-pings finding and plugging in the talents of believers in entry level opportunities
Helping New Believers eventually graduate to full “Pillar Membership”
